Perth Races
Perth Racecourse was voted best small racecourse in Scotland and
the North East for 2002.
One of the most picturesque racecourse settings in the country.
Within the grounds of historic Scone Palace, the course skirts the
banks of the mighty River Tay and weaves its way past trees that
have stood for centuries, since the time when this was the playground
of the Kings and Noblemen of Scotland.
The unique atmosphere experienced at Perth is like no other in
the country. Its intimacy ensures that everyone is close to the
action, and able to rub shoulders with the superstars of the jumping
game.
A day at Perth Races is as much a social occasion as anything else,
and you can complement this with some superb hospitality at the
Royal Hotel.
So why not incorporate a visit to the races as part of one of some
great all-inclusive hotel packages and short breaks.
Edinburgh Races
Known as Edinburgh races, Historic Musselburgh Links has been a
venue for horse racing since 1816. Originally known as Edinburgh
Races with meetings held on Leith Sands, the move to the attractive
'meadows' setting at Musselburgh has proved a popular and lasting
success.
The course now hosts over 20 race days throughout the year - both
Flat racing and National Hunt meetings. On our Saturday meetings,
we now offer special packages in a trackside marquee. You are up
close and personal with the racing here, and have everything you
need for a great social day out.
The Course hosts 25 race days in 2005, both Flat racing and Jump
meetings. Throughout the year we offer special entertainments so
if you are looking for somewhere new to entertain the kids, an excuse
to dress up, or maybe a different venue for a night out with friends,
Musselburgh races is the place to be.
